This past week, I had the blessing of ministering for the first time in Ottawa, Canada at Peace Tower Church. What a delight to have a private tour of Parliament and minister alongside Matt Sorger. The Holy Spirit’s presence fell is such in wonderful sensitive way! We all just soaked in the glory realm of God the last night of the conference!

Mark and Suzie Roye and team have been busy ministering with Blood 'n Fire in San Antonio, TX with their summer outreaches. They are bringing us a report for this monthly CA communiqué including a pictorial overview. A second great video of the building of Dreamer’s Park Cambodia is also included.

Compassion Acts – June Update

We also took time to minister to the needy in villages, garbage dumps and slum communities.  After 26 days of being in Cambodia building Dreamer’s Park and leading and teaching with XP Mission Schools in Cambodia and Thailand, I finally traveled back to the USA.  It was great being back home.  I was only home one day when our summer interns arrived in preparation for our summer inner-city camp program.

Summer Outreaches Continue
 
With the help of our summer interns, we set up 25 bunk beds at our Blood 'n Fire Ministry Center, just in time for our first group of 15 students to arrive!  Our two weeks of camp and work projects had begun!  What could have been a very difficult time for me was instead an awesome start to our summer in the inner city of San Antonio, thanks to our wonderful team.  More than 50 children participated in our first week of camp.  It was an amazing start to our summer!

This is our 14th year working in the inner city of San Antonio, under the banner of Blood 'n Fire.  I can honestly say that Susie and I still love doing what we are doing.  We have seen God do so much for our community.  One of the things that I am most thankful for is seeing people coming together to work for the Kingdom of God.  Surely it must bring so much joy to the heart of God.  Whether in your local city or in another country, when people are willing to bring their passion and gifts together to help others, much can be accomplished.  God never intended life to be lived just as an individuals, but rather as a team of community of believers together.

Ministry Founded on the Word of God

I love the scripture found in I Peter 4: 10 that says, “As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”  It tells us to employ, to put our gifts to work, serving one another.  It brings so much joy and fulfillment in our lives and the lives of those around us, when we use our gifts to serve God, by serving one another. Let’s be Spirit and Word fully be integrated together!

I count it a privilege to be the International Director of Compassion Acts and Leader of Blood 'n Fire, San Antonio.  It is so rewarding and fulfilling to be able to serve God’s purpose by to seeking to help others.   Things are never static around here.  God continually moves us into new areas of ministry, most recently in dealing with the injustice of human trafficking, and the opportunities to make a difference are many.

Through our work at Blood 'n Fire San Antonio, we are in the process of renovating our first “Safe House”.  This house will be used to provide a place for women who have been victims of human/sex trafficking can come to live for a period of time and be restored.  We are partnering with another well-established ministry to establish this safe house.  We are joining our faith together in asking God to provide everything needed to remodel the house as well as the operational expenses to rescue and restore the lives of women who have suffered so much.

Praying for the Youth of the Middle East

A Call to Fast and Pray for the Youth
and Young Adults of Israel

Each year we host a conference for Israeli youth/young adults called “Elav”, which in Hebrew means “Unto Him”.  By God’s grace, last year we had over 500 Jewish and 150 Arab/Palestinian youth attending.  There have been many testimonies of lives transformed by an encounter with God at previous Elav conferences.

This year, I have felt led of the Lord to encourage many to join us in a 24 day fast, to pray Psalm 24 into the lives of those who will attend Elav 2012 on July 7-9, in Tel Aviv (for more information, go to: www.elav2012.com.

Pray according to Psalm 24 that there will be a work of purification, of becoming a generation that seeks God, and that doors will be opened for the King of Glory to enter into this generation in Israel in a way far greater than ever before.

James and I invite you to join us in fasting and prayer this week thru Prayer Storm.

 Pray that every young person in Israel who has an appointment with God at Elav 2012 will come, and that nothing can hinder them from attending.  Pray that every young person who comes will have a life-changing encounter.
